Sodium hypochlorite solution (NaOCl) is a widely used, clear pale-yellow liquid sanitizer, commonly known as bleach. It acts as an effective disinfectant against bacteria, viruses, and fungi. Common applications include household cleaning, water disinfection, dental root canal treatment, and industrial oxidation. It is highly alkaline (pH 11–13) and corrosive.
